The range of vehicles already extends from compact cars to sports models. At the beginning of 2017, there were more than 50 models on the market, 33 of them are models from German manufacturers. Every year they are being joined by further attractive models.

Some 85% of the necessary charging infrastructure in Germany is in the private domain. Another 15% is in the publicly accessible domain such as motorway service areas, where electric vehicles can already be charged in 15 minutes at fast charging points. Instead of waiting at the petrol pump and getting your hands dirty, in future it’ll be a case of parking, charging and relaxing.

Even today electric vehicles drive emission-free locally and in the overall balance they produce less CO2 emissions than conventional vehicles,  even if the vehicle production and the German power mix are taken into account.

Electric mobility is part of the global mobility revolution and is making its contribution to the energy revolution in Germany. The electricity required can only be obtained from renewable energy sources. As mobile storage devices, vehicles stabilise the power grid of the future.

Ensuring a better atmosphere, clean air and less noise, electric mobility is already an integral part of urban transport development and mobility planning in many municipalities, both large and small. It doesn’t just promote quality of life but also innovation and value creation.

International norms and standards ensure a barrier-free driving experience. A uniform Europe-wide charging system already exists, enabling users to charge their cars wherever they are without any difficulty.

Charge with a smartphone or single card at all charging points and make barrier-free use of electric mobility offerings from cars to public transport! Information and communication technologies lay the foundations for customer-focused mobility services.

Exceptionally highly qualified specialists and engineers constitute the basis for the success of electric mobility. They ensure innovation and the high quality of technologies and services in the electric mobility domain.
